Robert T. MATTHIESEN Died Nov 21, 2002 in Seattle. Born Spokane Nov. 25, 1915. Commercial artist, Art Director and graphic designer of many well known Northwest corporate and advertising trademarks including the seal of the City of Seattle and the familiar "arrowed orb" symbol of the 1962 Seattle World's Fair. Past President of Seattle Art Directors Soc., past President Puget Sound Group of Northwest Painters. Teacher at Shoreline C.C. Survived by his wife of 60 years, Eleanor Matthiesen; daughter Ann Dennis of Carona Del Mar, Calif., son Thomas Matthiesen of Duvall, Wash; brother William Matthiesen, sisters Virginia Schmitz and Audree Hanson of California.
