Born in Wisconsin and raised in Montana, Ned Mueller has been drawing and painting all of his life. He graduated from the prestigious Art Center School of Design, where he also taught drawing while still a student. His love of life is reflected in his superb paintings of a wide range of subjects. Working as an illustrator for 25 years, he built a solid foundation of professionalism. He ’s been a successful full time artist since 1984 and enhanced his knowledge and skills taking workshops with master artists Harley Brown, Richard Schmidt, Bettina Steinke, Del Gish and Sergei Bongart. He ’s written several articles for Artists Magazine, been called to jury shows, is a popular and enthusiastic workshop teacher around the country and abroad. A member of the Oil Painters of America, the Northwest Watercolor Society, the Northwest Rendezvous Group, the Knickerbocker Society and a Master Pastelist in the Northwest Pastel Society, his work hangs in some of the finest shows and galleries in the country, he ’s won numerous awards; most recently a Gold medal in the Knickerbocker Show.
