Born 1930 Everett, WA - Death, October 19, 2018. Grant graduated cum laude from the Pratt Institute in New York. He was an art director and illustrator on Madison Avenue. His clients include Pacific Northwest Bell, Virginia Mason Hospital, GTE, West Coast Paper Company, PayLess Drug, Cole &Weber Advertising, and Mt. Angel Abbey. Grant has completed commissions by the U.S. Navy for the christenings of the USS Carr and USS Vandergrift and he won the Purchase Prize in the “Puget Sound Country ” show.  His work was selected for the Foss Maritime Calendar in1988. Stillwater/Kirsten Gallery has shown Grant ’s work as well as the Frye Museum Annual Show, the Mystic Seaport Museum, Mystic, Conn., and the San Diego Maritime Museum. Grant’s work is in many private collections throughout the country including former Secretary of the Treasury, Nicholas Brady. He is member of the Puget Sound Group of Northwest Painters and a signature member of both the Northwest Watercolor Society and the American Society of Marine Artists. For the last several years, he's been invited to the Waterfowl Festival in Eastern Maryland. Member PSGNP.
